The ongoing outbreak of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) became the latest threat to global health. The outbreak has revealed the necessity of being prepared and acting accordingly for each country, and the importance of facing it together as a global human community.

Ever since the beginning of 2020, China has responded quickly from government organizations to industrial innovators, and made tremendous efforts to effectively control the epidemic situation. Information technologies such as AI, big data, cloud computing were applied to identify, track and forecast outbreaks, help speed up  medical imaging analysis, limit zone access by intelligent temperature measurement system, perform tasks by robots, and provide remote consultation, etc. Tech leaders, including Alibaba, Baidu, Huawei and many other companies have contributed their AI technology and solutions that have achieved practical results.
