Post-Covid-19 Era - EU Member States and China in the Pursue for Growth

This webinar will be jointly presented by ENRICH in China and the Embassy of Sweden in Beijing, focusing on China’s digital transformation in the preparation for a “Post-Covid-19 Era”.

Already long before the Covid-19 breakout, the digital economy has been playing an increasingly significant role as a new driver for China’s economic growth and social transformation. During the Covid-19 pandemic period, many companies have learned and developed “digital Covid-19 survival strategies” and have become more aware of the need for digital skills and digital competitiveness.

In the past weeks, China’s new “digital transformation package” was launched, including “Cloud- Big Data- AI-driven New Economy Strategy”, “New infrastructure development”, “Data as a new production factor” and “Blockchain for Industrial IoT development”. China is seeking its way forward by stepping up its digital transformation in the preparation for a “Post-Covid-19 Era”.  In this process, China’s digital transformation will not only need to be for growth but also for good to humanity and nature, i.e. a faster, deeper and more transparent digital transformation, integrated with sustainability transformation. At this webinar, it will be shared the observations from China’s latest policy development in the field of digital transformation as well as putting them into an international perspective, in terms of the development at the EU-level and in Sweden.
