Background & Objectives
In 2015, the Chinese government released the "Made in China 2025", which is an initiative to upgrade the Chinese industry. The initiative draws direct inspiration from Germany's "Industry 4.0" plan, which was first discussed in 2011 and later adopted in 2013. “Made in China 2025” is the first ten-year action plan which calls for green, innovative and intelligent manufacturing, with a focus on quality and Internet integration.
Speakers and participants from both European and Chinese intelligent manufacturing companies and organisations will give deeper insights of implementation of these strategies through keynotes other interactive session. The workshop will provide an excellent platform for knowledge sharing and networking among policy makers, industries and research institutions, enabling the community to gain a common understanding on the future of manufacturing for China and Europe and on a global scale, as well as to build a new Eco-System for EU-China Cooperation on Intelligent Manufacturing.
