With support from ENRICH in China, the 2nd Nordic Sustainable Cities Development Forum (Xixian) was successfully organized on October 13th in Xi’an, together with 2019 Xixian New Area International Forum on Innovative Urban Development Mode (UDM 2019).
The Forum aims to promote cooperation in regard to sustainable development technologies between Xixian New Area and Nordic countries. Signe Brudeset, Ambassador of the Embassy of Norway in Beijing, China and Gunnar Snorri Gunnarsson, Ambassador of the Embassy of Iceland in Beijing, China presented and made the opening remarks. Counsellors from Nordic countries had a fruitful dialogue with representatives from Xixian Gov. and explored the potential cooperation. Ms. Inguna Viksne, the Deputy Head of the Mission, Embassy of the Republic of Latvia in China also participated. Richard Deng, the Chief Representative of SPI China, represented ENRICH in China participated in the Forum and promoted ENRICH activities to both European and Chinese participants.
Representatives from more than 15 companies from Nordic countries and more than 500 audience attended the forum and B2B session. Two companies (Envac Group and Nordic Green Building Alliance) signed cooperation agreement with Xixian New Area.
