On 23 April 2019, the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) published the first call for proposals for year 2019 under the EU-China Co-funding Mechanism for Research and Innovation (CFM), as part of the "Key Project on Intergovernmental International Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Cooperation/STI Cooperation with Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan" of China's National Key R&D Programme (NKP).
The call seeks applications by China-based full participants in Horizon 2020 Work Programme 2018 or 2019 proposals addressing nine broad priority areas as well as the flagship initiative on food, agriculture and biotechnology. CNY60 million will be allocated to support around 20 projects for the nine priority areas, while CNY40 million will be allocated to support 2 to 3 projects for the flagship initiative on food, agriculture and biotechnology. Applications will be submitted in two stages including pre-applications and full applications.
The deadline for submission of pre-applications is 12 June 2019.
